Authentic Italian Saltimbocca alla Romana Recipe

The recipe that I am going to share today is one of the classic recipes of Rome which is an Italian dish, which is called Saltimbocca Alla Romana. Its name also means something that describes its delicious taste because its name means “jumping in the mouth”. This dish is made with a combination of various ingredients. Now I will tell you their names “Veal, prosciutto, sage” .All the three that I mentioned before are made with white wine sauce. You can easily make it whenever you want and it can be made for special occasions as well. This recipe, which can be prepared in 19 minutes, is very popular in Italian restaurants and homes. Everyone cooks it. This is the best choice to impress guests.

METHOD

Step 1: We have to make the veal cutlets thin and smooth so that they can be cooked quickly.

Step 2: Lay a slice of prosciutto and a couple of sage leaves on top of the thinly sliced ​​cutlets and fix them with a toothpick to hold steady.

Step 3: To make a light crust on these cutlers, a little flour will be applied.

Step 4: Now I will tell you how to make cutlets. First of all, put the olive oil and butter in a hot frying pan on medium heat. This will make it flavorful and it will not burn.

Step 5: Fry the prepared cutlers in the preheated oil for about 30 to 60 seconds until it turns golden brown. It doesn’t need to be cooked much as it is thin and cooks quickly. 

Step 6: Then prepare the oven on low heat beforehand and take the cutlers out of the hot oil and keep them in a slightly warm place i.e. inside the oven.

Step 7: At this point it’s time to start preparing the sauce. In the frying pan we used earlier, we have to pour the wine and cook it for about two minutes. Then put chicken broth in it and make it a little thick.To make its flavor fresh, lemon juice will be added to it.

Step 8: Now let me tell you how to serve. The cutlers that we have cooked will be placed on a plate and put the sauce on it. The seg leaves that were left over will be used for garnishing. Serve it with roasted vegetables, salad and polenta.
