Krumiri: How to Make Delicious Italian Cookies

Krumiri are Italy’s traditional cookies come from Piedmont. A Pastry chef whose name was Domenico Rossi invented these Krumiri cookies in 1870. The reason for their popularity is their unique shape. This uniqueness and distinctiveness comes from the mustache look of Italy’s first king but the origin of Krumiri name is unknown. It is a part of Italy tradition and history.

METHOD

Step 1: In a bowl, mix butter and sugar with the help of an electric mixture until the texture becomes smooth and velvety.

Step 2: Now incorporate other ingredients like egg, yolks and vanilla extract and mix them well together.

Step 3: Add the remaining ingredient which is sifted flour. After that mix them well and make smooth dough.

Step 4: Put this dough in refrigerator for half hour before baking

Step 5: Now fill the cookie gun with the dough and make cookies on a baking sheet, they should be 2 inches long with bent shapes.

Step 6: Place them in a preheated oven and bake it for 18 to 20 minutes until ready.

Step 7: Krumiri cookies are ready.

Step 8: Cool them before serving.
