METHOD
Step 1: First we will prepare the dough for the Limoncello cake Pastry. Step 2: Take the butter in a bowl. The butter should be cold but not too freezing. Step 3: In the same bowl add flour and powdered sugar and mix all these things together. Step 4: When these things are mixed, add a pinch of salt, egg yolks and the rest of the flavorings in it. Step 5: Mix everything well. When the dough is ready, keep it in the fridge for an hour. Step 6: Now take milk in a saucepan to make cream, then add lemon zest and limoncello to it and boil the milk. Step 7: In a bowl, beat the sugar and egg yolks well by hand or with an electric whisk until it turns out light and fluffy. Step 8: Also mix starch and vanilla to it. Step 9: Remove the milk from the stove when it starts boiling, and then add the milk to the egg mixture. Step 10: Here one thing to keep in mind is that when you are adding the milk to the egg mixture, you should mix it quickly as soon as possible. Step 11: Now pour the rest of the milk into this mixture just as before. Step 12: Put this mixture in the saucepan to heat again on the stove and keep stirring it constantly, then your limoncello cream will be ready very soon. Step 13: Cover this cream with foil and keep it aside. Step 14: Take the pastry out from the fridge and roll it in disc form. Step 15: Make two discs from dough (one big and one small) and the thickness should be equal to half an inch. Step 16: Now spread the large disk and an inch of dough should be outside the mold. Step 17: Pierce the bottom layer with a fork. Step 18: Now pour the cream in it. Step 19: Apply egg white to the edges and combine it with the other disk of dough. Step 20: If there is extra dough from the sides, cut it off. Step 21: Pierce the top layer and brush the egg white on it. Step 22: Sprinkle pine nuts on it and press lightly to adhere it with a cake layer. Step 23: Now bake it in the oven at 330° F for 40 minutes.
