Plum Cake Italian-Style

This is a simple and delicious cake which is perfect for breakfast or light snack. The use of sweet plums with soft flour makes a delicious cake that is perfect for any occasion.

METHOD

Prepare the Dough:

Step 1: Take a bowl to beat the eggs. Add sugar to these eggs and mix well until it becomes fluffy.

Add Flour and Baking Powder:

Step 2: Mix the flour and baking powder and filter it with a sieve. Then add them to the egg mixture and incorporate well. Until it becomes smooth.

Prepare the Berries:

Step 3: Cut the plums into thin slices.

Assemble the Cake:

Step 4:Now pour this flour mixture into an 8-inch buttered springform pan. Now spread the pieces of plum on the top surface. Sprinkle some caster sugar on it.

Baking:

Step 5: Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 40 minutes until it turns golden brown. Check with a toothpick that it is cooked well from the inside.

Serving:

Step 6:  After cooling, sprinkle it with powdered sugar and serve the delicious cake.
