Polpettone: The Amazing Classic Italian Meatloaf

Basically this dish which we are going to make, in this meat, boiled eggs and pieces of ham are used. When the meatloaf is cut, the egg and ham mixture is visible in the middle of the meat, which is a beautiful sight. Served hot or cold, this meatloaf will be the highlight of your table.

METHOD

Step 1: Warm up the oven to 390o F before starting the recipe.

Step 2: I used 3 hard boiled eggs in it. For this, take a small saucepan and boil the eggs.

Step 3: After the eggs are boiled, peel them. Now cut them all from the middle into 2 parts and keep them.

Step 4: Now put the following things in a big bowl and mix. Such as black pepper, salt, grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, breadcrumbs, an egg, a chopped mixture.

Step 5: After mixing well, spread the baking paper on a table. Spread the same mixture well on the baking paper.

Making Process of Polpettone

Step 6: Now add pieces of cooked ham, eggs lengthwise, salt, black pepper, grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.

Step 7: Now wrap it firmly.

Step 8: Now it’s time to bake. To bake at 350o F for about an hour, you will first oil a baking dish and grease the top surface of the meatloaf with oil.

Step 9: Turn off the oven after one hour.

Step 10: Take a perforated baking sheet and spread it evenly on the kitchen surface.

Step 11: Arrange the meatloaf on a cutting board and keep it like that for about five minutes.

Step 12: Cut with a paring knife and serve the meatloaf with its own sauce.
