HISTORY Of Struffoli

METHOD

Step 1: First we will take flour in a bowl and then we will add sugar, butter, egg yolk, lemon, and orange zest to it.

Step 2: Now we are going to knead everything together well until everything turns smooth, then we are going to cover it and leave it for an hour.

Step 3: Then we will cut small pieces from this dough up to one or two centimeters then fry it in hot oil and wait for it to turn golden brown.

Step 4: After that we will make the topping. 

Step 5: Add water, honey, orange, lemon zest, and sugar cubes in a saucepan .

Step 6: Keep boiling it well until it turns yellowish.

Step 7: In this yellow mixture, add Struffoli and some candied fruit.

Step 8: Flip the pan over the tray and arrange it into whatever shape you want, usually people make it into a hill shape.

Step 9: Now add some sprinkles and some candied fruit to decorate it.

Step 10: Keep it cool for a few hours before serving it.

Problem Facing While Preparing Struffoli

Making Struffoli is not complicated. But yes, there are some mistakes that are very common and you have to avoid them so that you can make the best kind of dish.
